The Moa were absolutely insane. Just the craziest birds imaginable. I’m still mad we didn’t keep a breeding population alive somewhere. Can you imagine these guys roaming our city streets?
This cautious mother with her chicks was spotted outside the iconic Auckland Leather building on Dominion Road, which has slowly been disintegrating (and building up layers of graffiti) over the last five years.
