I am available for commission work for schools, kindergartens, businesses and individuals. I can create murals, canvas artworks and illustration work. I am based in Auckland, but I am happy to travel if needed, although travel & accommodation costs may apply.
Please note that I do not paint banners on sign vinyl, paint ‘sidewalk art’, or work with chalk.
Below are a few examples of my recent work. If you would like to request a quote, please get in touch.
how does it work?
Simply drop me an email to arrange a visit, where we can check out the potential mural site(s) and discuss concepts, colours, preparation, access, all of the ingredients that go into a mural. Then I will put together a few rough sketches, a quote to go with them, and an approximate timeline for the project.
Depending on the scale (and the weather), most murals take 2 – 4 days to paint. If it is in a school setting, I am happy for students to come and watch the artwork in progress, ask questions, and – depending on the location and materials involved – maybe even get involved with the painting process.
I use high quality acrylic and spraypaint to create my murals – this paint has a high UV resistance and should be able to handle many years of harsh climate. Depending on the location I can also apply a tough protective layer (for a small additional cost per metre) that will help protect it from scratches, tags and general wear and tear.
what will it cost?
As you can imagine this varies a lot – it depends on the scale and subject, as well as any site preparation or design work involved. I have found that, for a decent size mural (5 metres square and up), a price range of $200 – $400 per square metre is a good starting point to calculate costs. I can also work within a set budget, by adjusting the materials and / or design involved – just get in touch!
